Guidelines for Add Hope Funding

General notes:

KFC Add Hope is committed to feeding children and youth in South Africa. Funding is provided for a period of twelve (12) months, and beneficiaries can re-apply for funding annually. Add Hope supports feeding through: ECD creches, schools, children homes, churches, drop-in centres and soup kitchens.

When can I apply for funding?

Submission of application is open from the 15th of June to 31st July 2019 .

Kindly note that the Add Hope team will assess your organisation prior to processing any funding. Expect to receive a formal communication about the outcome of your application 4 weeks after the application closing date.

 

What is the Add Hope Fund?

The KFC Add Hope Programme has been dedicated to fighting injustices like childhood hunger since 2009. Add Hope provides nutritious meals to over 150 000 children from 11 national and over 140 local beneficiaries across SA every day, raising just over R500 000 for the cause.


But our job is far from done.

 

What you need to get funding?

The project should be aimed at feeding programs for vulnerable youth and underprivileged children between the ages of 0- 18. The beneficiary organisation must meet the following criteria to qualify for funding:


1. Operating for more than 2 years

2. Registered NPO certificate

3. With constitution

4. Have a board of management

5. Have a financial advisor



Kindly note that any or all of the following might constitute a conflict of interest :

> Any of your board members work for KFC

> Any of your board members are a supplier to KFC

> Any of your board members or senior management team, their family or close friends work for KFC

> Any of your board members or senior management team, their family or close friends are a supplier to KFC

If any of the above apply, this does not mean you are automatically barred from making an application. However, you should send an explanation of the relationship electronically for the administrator's attention.

What does Add Hope not fund?

Funding will not be given for the following:

> Vehicle finance

> Conferences (attendance and organisation)

> Scholarships

> Transport

> Event sponsorships

> Building of schools/ premises etc

When can I apply for funding?

Application can be submitted from the 15th of June to 31 July 2019.

Kindly note that an assessment of your organisation will be carried out by the Add Hope team prior to any funding being processed. Formal communication will be sent regarding the outcome of your application 4 weeks after the application closing date.

What happens after I have been accepted?

A confirmation and deed of donation will be sent to you which must be signed and sent back to the KFC Trust.
