Guidelines for Add Hope funding
KFC Add hope is mandated to feed children and youth (under the age of 18) in South Africa. Funding is provided for a twelve (12) month period and beneficiaries can re-apply for this annually. KFC Add Hope supports feeding through:
- Early Childhood Development Centres
- Schools
- Children and Youth Care Centres and
- Aftercare Centres
What does Add Hope not fund?
Any requests that relate to
- Request made solely to benefit an individual or family
- Events and sporting sponsorships
- Projects supporting individuals 19 years and older
- Old age homes
- Advertising and campaigns
- Research projects and /or study tours
- Conferences and exhibitions
How do I apply?
Due to the high volume of requests received, KFC Add Hope will only consider applications submitted via the website. Requests for funding will only be submitted via Add Hope online portal. Unfortunately requests emailed or faxed shall not be considered. Unfortunately, funding is not guaranteed even if your application aligns to KFC Add Hope's funding criteria. Please note that submitting a request does not guarantee funding even though we would love to, we are not able to respond positively to all aligned requests for funding

Step 3. Complete a pre-screening process
Step 4: Complete application pack by clicking on “submit “from your organisation dashboard on the right-hand side of your screen.
What are the minimum criteria required to be considered?
The project should be aimed at feeding programs for vulnerable youth and underprivileged children between the ages of 0- 18. The beneficiary organisation must meet the following criteria to qualify for funding:
- The organisation should be aimed at feeding programs for underprivileged and vulnerable youth and children between the ages of 0 -18years)
- The organisation should be aimed at feeding programs for underprivileged and vulnerable youth and children between the ages of 0 -18years)
- Should have been in operation for more than 2 years from the date of organisation registration.
- Have an organisation registration certificate (e.g., NPO, section 21, deed of trustee, School EIMS etc)
- Have an organisation constitution
- Have an organisation board of management
- Have financial advisor and audited financials
Kindly note that any or all of the following might constitute a conflict of interest :
- Any of your board members work for KFC
- Any of your board members are a supplier to KFC
- Any of your board members or senior management team, their family or close friends work for KFC
- Any of your board members or senior management team, their family or close friends are a supplier to KFC
If any of the above apply, this does not mean you are automatically barred from making an application. However, you should send an explanation of the relationship electronically for the administrator's attention.

When can I expect feedback?
Please note due to the high volume of requests received KFC Add Hope will only consider applications submitted via the website. Successful applicants will be notified and approved via the system, If you have not received a notification within a month after your application, kindly consider your application for this year as unsuccessful., Unfortunately, funding is not guaranteed even if your application aligns to KFC Add Hope's funding criteria.
